Other World Computing Announces 250GB External FireWire Drive
OWCs Mercury Elite Pro line continues to push technological storage boundaries; company also announces reduced pricing for many models
WOODSTOCK, Ill. March 14, 2003 Other World Computing (OWC) today introduced a 250 Gigabyte model in its popular line of Mercury Elite Pro external FireWire storage solutions. The new 250GB hard drive delivers some of the industrys largest and fastest file and data storage capabilitiesincluding 8MBs of high-performance cache.
Mercury Elite Pro hard drives measure 1.5-inches x 9.0-inches x 5.5-inches and weigh less than three pounds. The drives offer convenient plug-and-play capability, which allows for increased mobility between different machines and locations, as well as increased ease of file and data transfer. The new 250GB model operates at 7200RPM and is available immediately for $479.99.
