FireWire 800 to 400 Adapters & Cables from $7.99
All 2009 Apple iMac, Macbook, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and Mac Pro models are equipped with one or more FireWire 800 Ports – but no FireWire 400 Port.
The exceptions are older MacBook 13.3" White which have FireWire 400 and MacBook Air which has no FireWire. The new white "unibody" MacBooks also have no Firewire.
So... if you have or purchase one of these newer Macs + have FireWire 400 storage, audio, camcorder devices... you'll need a FireWire 800 to 400 cable or adapter...
